Moving Onto Building a Successful Program
We have passed the first hurdle with the acceptance of a 6 lane pool design. Now the heavy lifting starts. We have laid the foundation of our region swim club with 3 directors and a club name: 7 Gens Swimming. The name is intended to capture and be inclusive of the diversity of the 7 municipalities and 2 First Nations that co-operated to win grants for the complex.

Masters Swimming Founders

Carrie Head has been involved in Competitive Swimmer for over 45 years( Novice, Age Group, University & Masters). She is a Certified NCCP Level 1 Coach & Level 2 Swim Official. She competed at the provincial and national levels including Olympic Trials. She was recognized at Western University for distinction as a student-athlete representing the university at Provincial/National competition.
She and her family cottaged for 20 years before moving to Parry Sound five years ago. She is currently an elementary teacher at St. Peter the Apostle School in Parry Sound.
